Privacy Policy
Your privacy is the core of how SendTomo works. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you use the tool. The short version: your files travel directly between your two devices over an encrypted connection and are never stored on any server.
How transfers work. SendTomo uses WebRTC, a web standard for peer-to-peer communication. When you connect two devices, a signaling server briefly helps them find each other and exchange encryption keys, then steps out of the way. The actual file data flows directly from device to device (or through a TURN relay that only forwards encrypted bytes when your network requires it) — never in a form we can read.
What we do not store. We do not require an account, email, or login. We do not keep your files on our servers, because they never get uploaded there in the first place. A room code is temporary and expires once your session ends, leaving no persistent copy of your data online.
Cookies and tracking. The only thing stored on your device is a local preference (your chosen language and theme) in localStorage — not a tracking cookie. We do not attach advertising trackers to transfers, and no third-party analytics follows your file activity.
Your choices. Because nothing is uploaded to a server, you retain full control of your files at all times. Closing the page ends the session immediately. For highly sensitive material, use a private network you trust.
